Lapo means a simple humble stall to eat Batak (North Sumatera tribe in Indonesia) dishes. They usually sell pork dishes. Lapo Siagian is located on the alley of Hj. Hasan street. It can accommodate for about 30 persons.
Lapo Siagian’s specialty dish is Babi Panggang (roasted pork). A small plate of roasted pork came with a bowl of soup and green chili-lemon-special sauce. The pork meat is quite hard to chew but it’s not become a big deal if you eat it with their green chili. My friend said the meat become quite hard because they slowly roasted it. But you will taste the smokey aromatic on the meat because they use that kind of roasted technique. The fatty part is so yummy. And the hot soup is also delicious. The spiciness taste from Andaliman (Batak Peppercorn) is screaming out so strong.
